For All Courses

Please note, courses are conducted in English. It is vital, for Health and Safety reasons, that all delegates have sufficient working knowledge of English to allow them to participate fully.

Delegates must attend site 10 minutes prior to the course commencing (with full PPE for IPAF training). The course will be fully chargeable should you fail to comply with these terms.

Certificates

Certificates are included in the course fee and will be sent for the attention of the course booker to the address provided at the initial stage of the online booking process.

Rescheduling/Cancellations

Mentor are unable to accept cancellations or postponements, however we are able to re-schedule courses providing we are given a minimum of 10 working days’ notice.

Mentor reserve the right to re-schedule training courses where minimum delegate numbers are not achieved. 

Additional Information for IPAF Courses

On the day of training, delegates will be required to provide:

  • Their home address and date of birth (all delegates must be a minimum of school leaving age). National Insurance numbers are also preferred.
  • PPE including warm clothing, hard hat and safety boots. For IPAF 3b courses a full body restraint harness and lanyard are recommended.
  • For IPAF courses, any previous PAL Cards.

Risk Assessment

A Risk Assessment will be carried out by the instructor with particular reference to the ground for the practical training area against; Maximum Working Mass/Maximum Point Pressure/Distributed Load (whichever is relevant) of the MEWP to be used. Also, the nearest First Aid will be noted. 

Health and Fitness Statement

As the assembly and use of the equipment can be physically demanding, users should be physically fit and in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, fear of heights/vertigo, giddiness/difficulty with balance, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness. If you have any problems with literacy or language comprehension or have any doubts about your fitness to use the equipment, you must bring them to the attention of your employer. This need not preclude you from using the equipment, provided your employer conducts an assessment and is able to put into place adequate measures, to take account of any difficulties you may have.
