We are extremely proud to have our Technical Manager, Andy Cartwright, become surely one of the most qualified Health and Safety professionals in the country.
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has awarded Andy the Chartered Fellow level of membership. IOSH has six member categories, culminating with Chartered Fellow (CFIOSH), the highest stage of professional membership. Fellows are defined as demonstrating an outstanding dedication to the profession by going above and beyond, acting as role models for other members, their respective organisations and the wider health and safety community.
Our MD Stuart Taylor explains, “Becoming a Chartered Fellow is a remarkable achievement, demonstrated by the fact that only one per cent of over 50,000 IOSH members from around the world have reached this level. Those who work with Andy know that his depth of knowledge and experience is unparalleled so it’s no surprise to us that he has reached his goal, but we are thrilled for him, and for our customers that they have such expertise within our business to draw on.”
Andy outlines what the accomplishment means to him, “With the work and study required, it’s been around 20 years in the making to progress through the member levels so, for me it is a huge personal achievement to reach CFIOSH. I would like to use this qualification to combine my passion for material handling equipment and health and safety, and continue to educate, inform and train as many people as possible on the need for training and continued safe operation and supervision.”
Stuart concludes, emphasising Andy’s unique level of expertise, “Not only does Andy advise our team and our customers, but he works with numerous advisory boards, accrediting bodies and industry groups to provide guidance and follow all the latest developments. His commitment and vast knowledge set him, and us, apart from others in the forklift industry.”
