We think the HSE’s latest ‘at a glance’ guide to Working at Height, is a great resource for anyone involved – directly or indirectly – in work that presents the risk of a fall from height.

The seven page leaflet provides valuable guidance in a concise format that, if followed, will assist in complying with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

Aimed primarily at employers, the guide stresses the importance of proper planning, encouraging those responsible to consider whether they can avoid, prevent or minimise the risks before carrying out work at height. It also looks at common causes of accidents, competent persons and equipment selection and condition. For employees it offers relevant safety tips too, including an outline of ways in which they can contribute towards safe working at height.
