As of 1st September 2018, Accrediting Bodies Association (ABA) testing standards for counterbalance and reach fork lift trucks will be changed, following feedback from the four accrediting companies that form the ABA.
The changes come as a result of the ABA’s annual review of the testing standards to ensure they are working in practice for training providers and delegates.
Will I see a difference?
Our current theory and practical tests already meet all new testing standards, aside from one adjustment to the fault criteria “touches course/racking/load”, which rises from 3 penalty points to 5. This will be applied in any training delivered and test sheets sold from 1st September 2018.
Do I need new test sheets?
If you want to test to ABA standards, then yes you do! If you have your own testing documents, then you need to alter and test to the new standard from 1st September 2018. Or to get the latest version from us, click here.
