Mentor Training provides nationwide operator and instructor training

Become your own boss and partner up with the UK’s leading forklift training provider, delivering accredited training to our customers in your region of the UK.
We work with companies large and small, across a variety of industry sectors, providing courses on a wide range of equipment types. Training is carried out on customer’s sites and at our UK training centres by self-employed Instructors across the UK mainland.

We are currently looking to work with individuals based in Ayrshire, Dumfriesshire, Lanarkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire, Flintshire, Staffordshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex – if you are not based in these areas, you can still complete the form below and we’ll keep your details on record.
When you begin working with Mentor Training, you will be required to have:
Public liability insurance
A full UK driving license
Your own vehicle
A laptop (Windows compatible)
A projector or additional monitor
PPE – including safety boots, hi-vis vest, hard hat, protective gloves
All Instructors that work with Mentor will go through a comprehensive induction process to ensure they are qualified and confident to deliver courses on customers’ sites unsupervised. Once qualified, you will be provided work by Mentor and travel within an agreed radius of your postcode, and will be paid accordingly, as per our banding system.
All Forklift Operators training to become Instructors will be required to progress through the following:
Mentor can offer assistance in supporting the financial cost of training via a training agreement and reasonable repayment schedule. This assistance can help with the cost of the course, hotel and attendance payment support to make sure you can remain focused on becoming a qualified Instructor.
All Self Employed Instructors that work with Mentor must be accredited to AITT to deliver our training courses at customer sites. Whether you are an AITT, RTITB or NPORS accredited Instructor, we can assist in your transition.
Once qualified, you will be provided work by Mentor and travel within an agreed radius of your postcode, and will be paid accordingly, as per our banding system.
Mentor can offer assistance in supporting the financial cost of the transfer via a training agreement, with reasonable monthly repayments.
