Stuart became Managing Director of Mentor FLT Training in 2015. He has a wealth of industry experience, reinforced by his involvement with a number of key associations within the forklift sector. This, coupled with a background in sales, service and management, provides Stuart a comprehensive understanding of what Mentor’s customers need and how best to deliver it.
Stuart is also responsible for the introduction of our performance and risk management training offering, a series of specialist management and awareness courses designed to help businesses maximise productivity, reduce risk and become more profitable.
Richard has worked in the forklift industry for over 40 years and has held senior roles in a number of the UK’s leading materials handling companies.
As our former Managing Director, Richard established Mentor as the leading provider of workplace transport training in the UK. He remains a Director of Mentor Training in a consultative role.
With a wealth of experience in workplace transport training, including his time as Managing Director of AITT, Adam has extensive knowledge of MHE types and training requirements, and is well placed to offer sound advice and solutions to customers of all types and sizes.
Having worked with end users, training providers, instructors and manufacturers, Adam has an in-depth understanding of the forklift industry and the challenges facing businesses.
James has vast experience in overseeing Operations and is very well-versed in managing teams of field-based personnel. He, and his team, are responsible for the allocation of work to our 180+ Sub-contractor Instructors based across the UK mainland, and act as their first point of contact.
Charlotte has worked at Mentor since she was a student, and in this time has built a comprehensive knowledge base of the industry, leading her to becoming our dedicated Corporate Account Manager.
Charlotte manages the accounts of some of our largest customers, using her experience to build strong relationships and recommend training solutions to help their operations remain safe, compliant and productive.
Chloe is an experienced account manager, well versed in the varying needs of our customer base and finding the best training solutions to meet their requirements.
Chloe works with both new and existing customers, building partnerships via regular communication and site visits, and recommending relevant services to improve safety and productivity.
JD plays a crucial role within Mentor, looking after our biggest customers with numerous branches nationwide and making sure we maintain strong, healthy relationships with each of them. He manages these relationships with regular contact, meetings and good communication, in order to ensure the smooth running of training with no issues.
JD brings a wealth of industry experience, with a background in health and safety for large UK companies with substantial MHE fleets. He has in-depth, specialist knowledge regarding the practical elements of operations which he draws on to advise our customers.
Nicola is the main contact for many of our customers across the country. Through gaining years of experience within the industry, she can provide businesses with training solutions that fit their specific needs, helping them to remain safe, compliant and productive.
Nicola helps onboard new customers, while building strong successful relationships with our existing customers by recommending relevant services to improve safety across all operations.
Katy maintains a crucial role as Account Manager for many of our key customers. She works alongside businesses to recommend training solutions that are the right fit for them, in line with their specific needs.
Katy’s experience within the industry allows her to confidently build and sustain working relationships with businesses and help them stay safe, compliant and productive.
Chris is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our Customer Service team. He combines vast leadership experience with a sound understanding of process and efficiency, to ensure our service continues to meet (and where possible exceed) the level required by our customers.
With an extensive background in customer service, Chris is dedicated to ensuring we provide the best customer experience, day in, day out. He excels in finding solutions and maintaining good communication with our customers.
Louise is Mentor’s Company Secretary and a long-serving member of the Mentor team. Her background in administration and finance provides a firm understanding of ours and our customers’ requirements, processes and capabilities.
Louise is responsible for the management of our head office in Chesterfield and overseeing the company’s day-to-day financial operations.
Amy is responsible for promoting our training courses, products and services and upholding the Mentor brand.
Amy works to make sure that our reputation, experience and wide product range are communicated and that we are seen not just as a quality training provider, but an approachable reference point for guidance and an advocate for safety standards within the industry.
Adam is responsible for managing our Quality Management System, constantly looking to improve efficiency and refine processes within the business, which help to enhance the overall customer experience. He also oversees the development of our face to face and online training courses, ensuring they meet the needs of our delegates and the quality standards of the industry’s accrediting bodies.
Adam also offers HR support to the business by planning programs and procedures designed to improve employee welfare and acting as a point of guidance for our team. He also identifies and sets up any internal training required to continue our market-leading service levels.
Andy began his time with Mentor as a Sub-contract Instructor before moving into a management role, so he has a real practical understanding of training delivery and quality standards. Now actively involved in developing Mentor’s own training courses, Andy uses his expert knowledge to ensure that we provide the key skills that delegates need to work safely day-to-day.
Alongside his long-spanning career as an instructor, Andy has a wealth of experience in advising on safety and training across a wide range of workplace transport, lifting and access equipment types. He also has a multitude of Health and Safety qualifications to his name, including a NEBOSH National Diploma.
