Stuart became Managing Director of Mentor in 2015. He has a wealth of industry experience, reinforced by his involvement with a number of key associations within the forklift sector. This, coupled with extensive experience in sales, service and management, provides Stuart a comprehensive understanding of what Mentor’s customers need and how best to deliver it.
Stuart is also responsible for the introduction of our safety management training offering, a series of specialist management and awareness courses designed to help businesses maximise productivity, reduce risk and increase profits.
Working in the forklift industry for over 40 years, Richard has amassed vast experience, and has held senior roles in several of the UK’s leading materials handling companies.
As our former Managing Director, Richard established Mentor as the leading provider of workplace transport training in the UK, a position that we are proud to hold to this day. He remains a Director of Mentor in a consultative role, where his specialist advice continues to support our delivery of vital training solutions.
With a wealth of experience in workplace transport training, including his time as Managing Director of AITT, Adam has extensive knowledge of MHE types and training requirements, and is well placed to offer sound advice and solutions to customers of all types and sizes.
Having worked with end users, training providers, instructors and manufacturers, Adam has wide-ranging expertise from the forklift industry to share with our customers, for the benefit of their teams and their businesses.
James has vast experience in overseeing operations and proven expertise in managing teams of field-based personnel.
He and his team are responsible for distributing work to the 150+ instructors who make up our nationwide approved network, and the swift resolution of any challenges during training. They work hard to ensure that every course runs smoothly and provides total assurance of standards for compliance. James and the team also ensure that we have genuine national coverage for all course types, which allows us to offer our customers fixed costs for training across the UK, with no hidden extras for travel and accommodation.
Charlotte has worked at Mentor for over 15 years, since joining us as a student, and, in this time, has built a comprehensive knowledge of the industry, leaving her perfectly placed to become our dedicated Corporate Account Manager.
Charlotte utilises her expertise to effectively manage the accounts of some of our largest customers. Using system data, detailed understanding and specialist advice, she works with them to recommend training solutions that help their operations remain safe, compliant and profitable.
Chloe is an experienced and knowledgeable Account Manager, well versed in the varying needs of our customer base and finding the most effective training solutions to meet requirements and keep operations safe.
Chloe enjoys working with both new and existing customers, building strong relationships via regular communication and site visits. She recommends relevant services that provide total assurance of standards, awarding our customers with full compliance and peace of mind.
JD plays a vital role within Mentor, ensuring that we maintain strong, healthy relationships with our biggest customers who have numerous branches nationwide. His wealth of industry experience allows him to manage these relationships effectively, with regular contact, to ensure full support and the smooth running of training.
JD’s background in health and safety for large companies with substantial MHE fleets gives him a unique perspective, with an innate understanding of on-site challenges and the best solutions. It also provides him with in-depth practical knowledge, which he draws on to provide specialist advice.
Nicola is a dedicated Account Manager with years of experience within the industry. She utilises this to provide UK businesses with training solutions that fit their specific needs, helping them remain safe, compliant and productive.
With her vast knowledge, Nicola helps to welcome new customers, while maintaining strong relationships with our existing customer base to ensure all benefit from the expert training service and support we offer.
Katy is a dedicated Account Manager, looking after many of our key customers, including some of the world’s leading forklift manufacturers and dealers. She succeeds in working alongside these businesses to recommend training solutions that are the right fit for them, in line with their specific needs.
Katy’s extensive experience helps her to confidently build and sustain Mentor’s working relationships with businesses, establishing us as a trusted training partner by providing them with full compliance and peace of mind.
Sarah is a highly experienced and valued member of our team, having built extensive industry knowledge since joining Mentor in 2015. With a background that includes roles as a Senior Customer Service Advisor and a key member of our dedicated Certification team, she brings a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, the available training options, and the importance of delivering a seamless, end-to-end experience.

Louise is our Company Secretary and one of the longest-serving members of the Mentor team. Her experienced background in administration and finance provides her with the expertise required to fully understand ours and our customers’ requirements, processes and capabilities.
Louise is responsible for the management of our head office in Chesterfield and overseeing the company’s day-to-day financial operations, helping to ensure that we provide a seamless customer experience from initial booking to invoicing.
Amy’s extensive experience and expertise in Marketing help her excel in promoting our training courses, products and services, as well as upholding the Mentor brand.
Amy works to ensure our reputation, experience and wide product range are communicated effectively. She ensures we are not just known as a market-leading training provider, but an approachable reference point for guidance, with proven expertise, and an advocate for safety standards within the industry.
Adam manages our Customer Service team and pushes productivity forward while making vital contributions that help us deliver our right-first-time service. Utilising his core set of skills gained from past experience, Adam has the knowledge and leadership ability required to ensure our Customer Service team continues to perform at the highest possible level.
In addition to this, Adam also manages our Quality Management System, consistently seeking ways to improve efficiency and streamline processes across the business to enhance the overall customer experience. He also oversees the development of our in-person and online training courses, ensuring they meet the needs of delegates while adhering to all quality standards set by industry accrediting bodies for assured compliance.
Andy began his career at Mentor as a Sub-contract Instructor, before utilising his vast industry experience to transition into a management role. This progression has given him a deep, practical understanding of both training delivery and quality standards.
Today, Andy plays a key role in ensuring all activity carried out by Mentor aligns with requirements for health and safety and provides customers with assured compliance. He is responsible for developing Mentor’s training courses, using his expertise to ensure we equip delegates with essential safety skills and meet all industry standards, every time.
With extensive experience as an instructor at the highest level, Andy also offers an unrivalled wealth of knowledge for advising on safety and training, across a wide range of workplace transport, lifting, and access equipment. With countless other health and safety qualifications to his name, including a NEBOSH National Diploma and IOSH’s highest accolade, Chartered Fellow level membership, Andy is surely one of the most qualified Health and Safety professionals in the country.
