Mentor Training provides nationwide operator and instructor training
The Association of Industrial Truck Trainers, represent and monitor the leading forklift truck manufacturers and training companies in the workplace transport industry. The association is also a founder member of the Accrediting Bodies Association – Workplace Transport (ABA). We offer a wide range of operator and management courses under the AITT accreditation, delivered to their high standards.
The Road Transport Industry Training Board is a standard widely used in the road transport and warehousing industry. RTITB is another of the founding members of the Accrediting Bodies Association – Workplace Transport (ABA). We fully comply with RTITB standards and hold regular instructor courses under this accreditation scheme at our Bromsgrove centre.
The UK Material Handling Association was formed following the merger of the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) and the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA), and represents all areas of the industry. The association helps to raise standards and better understand and promote the needs of its member companies, and the wider industry. We have been thoroughly assessed and are full corporate members of UKMHA.
UKWA is Britain’s leading trade organisation for logistics, with members ranging from warehousing and logistics providers to manufacturers, end users and suppliers to the industry. Since 1944, they’ve been promoting best practice and working to protect and advance the interests of their members. Mentor are Associate Members of the UKWA and their Affinity Partner for workplace transport training.
IOSH are the biggest health and safety membership organisation in the world and the only Chartered body for health and safety professionals. They are also a world leader in health and safety training with over 130,000 people taking courses yearly. We deliver several IOSH-approved courses, including IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely.
The British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) is the dedicated trade association and voice of the industry. BFFF’s membership covers the entire cold chain and as supplier members we work with them to provide safety and training guidance and support to fellow member companies.
The Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers, are the UK’s only trade association devoted to lorry loaders, running both a training accreditation service and a standards body for the lorry loader industry. We currently have over 40 instructors who are approved to deliver ALLMI training.
The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) is established as the leading representative body for all those involved in the lifting industry worldwide. We were pleased to be the first company to have their training course meet the necessary quality standards to become accredited by LEEA and continue to provide accredited training for Electric Overhead Travelling Cranes (EOTC) nationwide.
The ISO 9001 (British Assessment Bureau) quality standard is recognised worldwide. Organisations registered to this standard, like Mentor, are required to demonstrate that they have a quality management system in place to ensure consistency and continuous improvement. We have been certified as meeting the standard since our inaugural audit over 15 years ago.
The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) is the trade association representing and protecting the interests of merchants, manufacturers and service providers operating in the building materials supply sector in the UK and Ireland. Mentor are a Service Member of the BMF and our dedicated Load Security & Lashing for Builders Merchants course is approved by the Federation.
SafeContractor is a market-leading contractor certification that helps demonstrate a business’ commitment to health & safety, sustainability and ESG to hiring clients. It is a nationally recognised and respected certification that showcases our high standards and commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability.
The International Powered Access Federation promote the safe use of access platforms. IPAF is the standard for training and has a rigorous selection and accreditation scheme for its members. The IPAF training standard and PAL (Powered Access Licence) card are recognised and accepted in over 25 countries worldwide. IPAF courses are delivered in partnership with Certora Training.
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence is for LGV and PCV drivers who drive professionally throughout Europe and has been a legal requirement under European Law since 2008/9. The scheme aims to improve the knowledge and skills of professional drivers, with current legislation requiring them to undertake 35 hours of CPC qualifying training every 5 years. Mentor offer Driver CPC training alongside our Lorry Loader and Load Security and Lashing for Builders Merchants training courses.
